We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Account Growth Specialist to join our Stratogo team in Durban, KZN.

Job Description:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • To retain existing clients through exceptional customer service and generate new qualified leads from the allocated client base.
  • To achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual retention sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by following the company sales process.
  • To oversee and support a team in quotations for designated target markets with assistance from the lab and technical teams.
  • To analyze and expand new sales opportunities for sustained growth, particularly for low-value high-volume clients.
  • To perform competitor analysis to retain market share.
  • To negotiate new business closures that promote sustained revenue from low-value high-volume allocated clients.
  • To ensure accurate forecasting within a quarterly timeframe by clearly defined sales stages.
  • To manage and develop a high-performing integrated Customer Care Sales Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Account management of personally allocated retention clients and execution of retention plans to retain, contract, and upsell these accounts.
  • Development of strong relationships with clients.
  • Management of a team responsible for customer care retention of high-volume low-value clients, 3rd-party transport, and or disposal only clients.
  • Retention, upsell, and cross-sell existing Customer Care Allocated business through execution of the customer care sales retention strategy.
  • Offer ongoing support to the customer care team on the sales process.
  • Collaboration with and support Business Development Head Waste & Industrial Waste Sales Executives.
  • Maintenance of a high standard and quality of quotations & tenders supported by the Tendering Team.
  • Monitoring of Market trends and developments in the industry sector.
  • Devise tactical strategies to integrate Transactional Waste Management into customer care clients' business.
  • Delisting of Waste / Classification of Waste through the assistance of internal laboratory services.
  • Personal Sales Reports/dashboards including monthly forecasts directly from the live CRM Sales force tool.
  • Effective communication with operations and subject matter experts to ensure the best possible solution for clients.

Estimated Salary Range:

R650,000 - R850,000 per annum

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Waste Management/Environmental Science or Sales/Marketing related qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the waste management industry or service industry with a proven track record in new business sales.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
  • Proficiency with integrated business management and CRM software.
