Job Description:

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales and Business Development to lead our sales business function and drive revenue growth across Sub-Saharan Africa. The ideal candidate will focus on improving performance of existing sales channels, activating new sales channels, running an effective sales operating model, and growing high-performance inbound and outbound sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets aligned with commercial success metrics such as contribution margin, EBIT, and cash flow.
  • Lead and manage high-performing sales teams across all sales channels, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to succeed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10 years of experience in digital enterprise solution sales, with expertise in Software as a Service (SaaS) commercials and negotiations.
  • A proven track-record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent system-thinking, lateral thinking, and deal-making abilities.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to negotiate complex sales agreements with C-Level executives.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation with public enterprise & private multinational corporates in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
  • A tertiary qualification in science or commerce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
