About the Role



We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about water conservation, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.



As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting our water metering solutions to clients across various industries, contributing to the sustainable management of water resources. Your primary responsibilities will include:





  1. Prospecting and lead generation: Identifying and targeting potential clients in industries such as municipal water management, utilities, agriculture, and commercial real estate.

  2. Client relationship management: Developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers to understand their water metering needs and provide customized solutions that are sustainable and profitable for both the customer and company.

  3. Sales process management: Preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals in a timely manner.

  4. Sales performance and reporting: Tracking and analyzing sales metrics, including pipeline activity, win/loss ratios, and revenue forecasts. Providing regular updates to management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.

  5. Customer support: Providing ongoing support to clients post-sale, including troubleshooting technical issues, addressing inquiries, and facilitating product training as needed. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and responsiveness.



Candidate Requirements



We are looking for a sales professional with the following qualifications:





  • Matric qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in a commercial field or technical field with a strong commercial mindset

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical solution BtoB sales

  • Computer literacy

  • Technical knowledge of solutions and preferably electricity and water meters



Key Skills and Qualities



We are seeking a sales professional with the following skills and qualities:





  • Experience working with customers in large global companies as well as small and medium-sized companies

  • Technical knowledge of solutions and preferably electricity and water meters

  • Contract management capabilities

  • Solution selling or corresponding sales approach

  • Fluent in one South African language in addition to English - oral and written

  • Ability to work under pressure and with complex sales cases

  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ambitious regarding responsibilities and achievements

  • Results-oriented

  • Delivers high standards of customer service

  • A valid driver's license

  • Professional, self-motivated, and target-driven

  • Ability to travel within and/or outside of South Africa
