Business Development Representative

A leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions, Liquid Thought, is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to expand its payments business.
The primary objective of this role is to boost transaction volumes through efficient servicing of existing clients and successful onboarding of new potential partners. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and proactive individual with exceptional sales and relationship management skills, capable of driving growth and fostering strong relationships.
This position entails:
- Enhancing transaction volumes by providing top-notch service to existing clients.
- Sourcing and integrating new clients into the system.
- Establishing trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders from partner companies.
- Innovating new solutions and collaborating across departments to drive expansion.
- Serving as the primary point of contact between clients/prospects and various internal teams.
- Maintaining a strong marketing presence in conjunction with the internal team.
- Ensuring seamless operations related to clients run smoothly internally.
- Tracking and reporting key business opportunities, sales analysis, forecasts, solutions, and query management.
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferable;
- 2-5 years experience in the sales/payments/financial industry, with referenceable sales and relationship management experience; Experience in outbound sales;
- Understanding of the payments environment would be highly beneficial;
- Driver's license, and the ability to travel;
- Fluent in English and a good understanding of Afrikaans. Any additional language will be seen as beneficial.
Estimated annual salary: R650,000 - R800,000 based on market standards for similar positions in the industry.
