Sales and Business Development Executive

This is a dynamic role within OUTsurance, where you will be responsible for building and growing our business insurance portfolio. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of the commercial insurance market.
Key Responsibilities:- Prospect for new clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, providing them with tailored solutions and ongoing support.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and provide recommendations for OUTsurance short-term products.
- Draft and track personal business plans, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve goals.
- MATRIC or National Senior Certificate
- FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (Depending on DOFA)
- RE5 (Depending on DOFA)
- A valid code B driver's license
- At least 3 years' experience in external sales (if not from the insurance industry)
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Numerical and mathematical skills
- Team supervisory skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Discretion and high levels of trust
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, estimated to be around R150,000 - R200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. OUTsurance is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
