Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Customer Experience Professional to join our team as a Collections Specialist. As a key member of our collections team, you will play a crucial role in recovering outstanding debts from customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with customers who have overdue accounts through inbound and outbound calls to negotiate payment arrangements.
- Analyze customer accounts to understand the status, outstanding balances, and reasons for non-payment.
- Engage in professional and empathetic negotiations to collect outstanding debts while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Process payments and set up payment arrangements as appropriate, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and relevant information in the database.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot customer issues, providing solutions to prevent future delinquencies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, company policies, and collection techniques through ongoing training and development programs.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in collections or billing preferred.
- Strong understanding of billing and collection processes.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and familiarity with collection software.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

You are a motivated and dedicated individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You possess a strong understanding of billing and collection processes, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in collections or billing preferred. You are able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities effectively.
