At Sanlam Group, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Customer Relationship Development Specialist to join our team. This role will involve working in a contact centre environment, where you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

We offer an estimated salary of R250,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where they will be challenged to continuously identify new business opportunities and exceed sales targets.

About the Role

This is a key role within our sales team, requiring someone who is highly skilled in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for capturing customer information correctly, timeously, and accurately, while ensuring that all customer applications and documentation are fully completed and processed.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Continuously identify new business opportunities;
  • Exceed sales targets;
  • Keep up to date with product changes and enhancements;
  • Capture customer information correctly and accurately;

  • Establish a strong presence in the market by actively promoting the Sanlam Brand;
  • Gather competitor information and act upon it;
  • Connect with customers through excellent service and live up to the brand promise;
  • Converse with customers in a way that they fully understand and provide helpful solutions and products based on their needs;
  • Adhere to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles;
  • Maximize cross-sell opportunities aligned to customer needs analysis;
  • Support cost containment and reduction efforts;
  • Always comply with procedures and processes contained in business guidelines;
  • Takes accountability for own performance, personal development, and career growth;
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness and success of the team;
  • Maintain adaptability to ever-changing business and customer needs;

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year sales experience in a contact centre environment;
  • A minimum of 1 year sales experience in a similar sales role;
  • Matric/Grade 12 or international equivalent industry-relevant training courses;
  • Fais qualification is required if the Date Of First Appointment has expired or close to expiry for completion;
