Business Development Lead

The Recruitment Council seeks a seasoned Business Development Lead to drive sales growth and expand market presence. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this individual will lead a team of sales professionals in managing national sales through independent advisors and key account management.
About the RoleThis leadership position involves strategic planning, performance management, and organizational capability building. The successful candidate will formulate and execute sales strategies that drive business growth, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for new business.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic guidance to the sales team, setting clear objectives and aligning with business goals. Foster a high-performance culture and motivate team members to achieve targets.
- Performance Management: Monitor and assess team performance, implementing strategies for improvement and conducting regular performance reviews. Offer coaching and support to enhance team effectiveness.
- Organizational Capability Building: Develop and deliver training programs to build the skills and capabilities of the sales team. Identify knowledge gaps and create tailored solutions to enhance overall performance.
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and execute sales strategies that drive growth and expand market presence. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for new business.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Address client concerns and facilitate solutions.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team, with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and team members.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans based on market analysis.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in sales management or a related field, with a focus on driving results and managing teams.
- Educational Background: A relevant degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
