Partnership Marketing Manager

Takealot, a leading South African online retailer, is seeking a highly skilled Partnership Marketing Manager to join our team in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with marketing and business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities, assessing their strategic fit, audience alignment, and potential impact.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, defining terms, goals, objectives, deliverables, and commercials.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with strategic partners, serving as the main point of contact for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate partnership initiatives into marketing campaigns and partner campaigns.
  • Manage the execution of partnership campaigns from concept to completion, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics, defining KPIs and metrics to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage the partnership marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to budget.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Partnership team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain partnerships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and negotiate agreements.
  • Analytical mindset, leveraging data and insights to drive decision-making and optimize campaign performance.
  • Creative thinker, able to develop innovative partnership ideas and campaigns.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • A master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years marketing and retail experience.
