Vice President – Business Development & Innovation

What We Provide

URW's Media and Experiential Sales Division, known as 'Westfield Rise', is redefining how brands engage with consumers through digital out-of-home (DOOH) media, experiential activations, and long-term integrated partnerships at URW's renowned locations. Become part of a national team focused on attracting tenants and brands through creative solutions that leverage URW's extensive assets, investments, and resources to achieve unique and immediate outcomes.

Westfield Rise's comprehensive offerings include:

  • Advanced design and technology-driven digital signage – The Westfield Network.
  • Large-scale DOOH formats.
  • In-center static advertising inventory.
  • Prominent exterior signage and billboards.
  • Experiential activations and pop-up events.
  • Sponsorship and long-term partnership opportunities.
  • Strong collaboration with leasing, tenants, center marketing, real estate development, and event production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vertical Sales Strategies – Formulate and execute vertical industry strategies (e.g., Luxury, Automotive) and go-to-market narratives that demonstrate how advertisers in each sector can collaborate with Westfield Rise to enhance brand impact and engagement. Strategies will utilize the full spectrum of the URW/Westfield Rise ecosystem, including DOOH, experiential, pop-ups, events, integrations, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Sponsorship Opportunities – Design thoughtful sponsorship initiatives for verticals to integrate into Westfield locations. Collaborate with design and development teams to proactively address project needs for Westfield Rise vertical opportunities, considering how these initiatives enhance the consumer journey.
  • Insights & Data – Incorporate rich data and insights to support vertical narratives.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team – Work closely with the sales team to understand needs, opportunities, and market feedback to develop vertical narratives. Partner with the sales team to implement new vertical narratives and opportunities.
  • Project Development Roadmap – Create and manage a roadmap for vertical narrative rollout and product development requests to ensure timely achievement of key milestones.
  • Innovation – Continuously seek ways to develop new capabilities and innovations to maximize the opportunities Westfield Rise presents in the market. Collaborate with the SVP, Tech Team, and Operations to transition from ideation to pilot and execution phases for new capabilities.
  • Vertical RFPs – Assist the sales team with strategic RFP opportunities to maximize revenue growth and sales rates.
  • Leadership and Management – Inspire, collaborate, lead, and manage a Director of Business Development and Innovation as a strategic partner.
  • Competitive Intelligence – Develop a deep understanding of the market and industry, conducting comprehensive competitive analysis by identifying trends and insights across the market, with a focus on media, experiential, sponsorship innovation, and other properties.

  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience in Marketing, Media, and Partnerships.
  • Extensive experience in developing go-to-market strategies and narratives that support sales organizations or marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving innovation through business development, product innovation, and new partnerships to generate revenue.
  • A history of thriving in rapidly changing environments.
  • A reputation for making informed and sound decisions that advance the business.
  • Ability to leverage key industry relationships to uncover new product and revenue opportunities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to create new product solutions.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • A four-year college degree.

Compensation

Exempt

$200,000 – $250,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus
