Vice President – Business Development & Innovation

What We Provide

URW's Media and Experiential Sales Division, known as "Westfield Rise," is redefining how brands engage with consumers through digital out-of-home (DOOH) media, experiential events, and long-term integrated partnerships at URW's renowned locations.   • Advanced design and technology-driven digital signage – The Westfield Network.
  • Large-scale DOOH formats.
  • In-center static advertising inventory.
  • Prominent exterior signage and billboards.
  • Experiential events and pop-up activations.
  • Sponsorship and long-term partnership opportunities.
  • Strong collaboration with leasing, tenants, center marketing, real estate development, and event production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vertical Sales Strategies – Formulate and execute industry-specific strategies (e.g., Luxury, Automotive) and market narratives that demonstrate how advertisers in each sector can collaborate with Westfield Rise to enhance brand impact and engagement. These strategies will leverage the full spectrum of the URW/Westfield Rise ecosystem, including DOOH, experiential, pop-ups, events, integrations, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Sponsorship Opportunities – Design thoughtful sponsorship initiatives for verticals to integrate into Westfield locations. Collaborate with design and development teams to proactively address development projects, ensuring alignment with Westfield Rise vertical opportunities and enhancing the consumer journey.
  • Insights & Data – Incorporate rich data and insights to support vertical narratives.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team – Work closely with the sales team to understand needs, opportunities, and market feedback to develop vertical narratives. Partner with the sales team to introduce new vertical narratives and opportunities.
  • Project Development Roadmap – Create and manage a roadmap for vertical narrative rollout and product development requests to ensure timely achievement of key milestones.
  • Innovation – Continuously seek ways to develop new capabilities and innovations to maximize market opportunities for Westfield Rise. Collaborate with the SVP, Tech Team, and Operations to transition from ideation to pilot and execution phases for new capabilities.
  • Vertical RFPs – Assist the sales team with strategic RFP opportunities to optimize revenue growth and sales rates.
  • Leadership and Management – Inspire, collaborate, lead, and manage a Director of Business Development and Innovation as a strategic partner.
  • Competitive Intelligence – Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market and industry, conducting competitive analysis to identify trends and insights, with a focus on media, experiential, sponsorship innovation, and other properties.

  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience in Marketing, Media, and Partnerships.
  • Extensive experience in developing go-to-market strategies and narratives that support sales organizations or marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving innovation through business development, product innovation, and new partnerships to generate revenue.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Recognized for making informed decisions that advance business objectives.
  • Able to leverage key industry relationships to identify new product and revenue opportunities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to create new product solutions.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

$200,000 – $250,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus
