Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Strategic HR Business Partner to join our team at Progressive International. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to leverage their skills and expertise in driving business growth through strategic human resources initiatives.
About the Role
This role involves working closely with senior management to develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. You will be responsible for providing expert advice on HR-related matters, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the entire recruitment process, from advertising positions to conducting reference checks, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Labor Relations: Manage labor relations activities, including providing advice to managers, participating in disciplinary hearings, and negotiating wages.
- Performance Management: Implement a comprehensive performance management system, analyzing data to inform calibration processes and identify development needs.
- Employment Equity: Promote employment equity by facilitating the establishment of an Employment Equity committee, developing and implementing an approved plan, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- HR Administration: Manage HR administrative tasks, including budgeting, manpower planning, recordkeeping, and benefits processing.
- Payroll: Ensure accurate payroll processing, overseeing the input of payroll data and monitoring the process to ensure timely and correct payments.
- Organizational Design and Development: Manage organizational structure and development, maintaining the organizational chart, updating job descriptions, and implementing diversity programs.
- Training and Development: Oversee training and development initiatives, identifying training needs, securing funding, and managing talent management programs.
- Occupational Health and Safety: Manage occupational health functions, supervising staff, managing stock, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A completed degree in a relevant field
- 8-10 years of full HRBP experience in FMCG manufacturing
- Familiarity with payroll/ER and union experience
