Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our South Africa practice as the Country Marketing Lead. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our marketing efforts, establishing our brand presence, and supporting our growth ambitions in the South African market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IMEA Head of Marketing and South Africa's business leadership to develop integrated growth strategies for existing and new sectors.
  • Lead South Africa-focused marketing campaigns across multiple channels, increasing brand visibility and generating interest.
  • Conduct detailed reporting and analysis of campaign impact in South Africa, driving informed decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with local PR agencies, expand the firm's presence in tier 1 media, and leverage personal connections with key editors and journalists.
  • Create South Africa-specific content and adapt global marketing materials for local relevance.
  • Represent Oliver Wyman South Africa in global Marketing team forums, identifying synergies between global and local campaigns.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with organizations, associations, and influencers as relevant.
  • Develop tailored account-based marketing (ABM) strategies in collaboration with local Partner leadership.
  • Maintain a keen interest in industry trends, competitive intelligence, and regulatory changes, providing actionable insights that keep up with best practice.
  • Identify and negotiate speaking opportunities for firm leaders at influential conferences and events in South Africa.
  • Oversee local marketing operations and manage relationships with agencies and vendors to expand South Africa marketing support functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years proven track record in B2B marketing/communication function in professional services or agency.
  • Expertise in crafting and editing engaging content across multiple formats, and familiarity in using keyword research and SEO.
  • Client-centric/Account Based Marketing experience with a strategic eye on linking Marketing impact with Commercial Objectives.
  • Strong media relationships in South Africa an advantage, or experience in managing a PR agency.
  • Team management and working with an international peer group.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com or Asana.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
