Customer Service and Support Specialist

The Globevest Group is a leader in the optical lens manufacturing industry, and we are seeking a skilled Customer Service Consultant to join our team as soon as possible. This role will be based in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Salary: Market related
Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in a call center setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend to customers across all contact mediums, including phone, email, WhatsApp, Facebook, chatbot, service console, and other platforms.
- Resolve customer queries, whether related to products, pricing, technical issues, or other concerns.
- Capture and process customer orders in a timely manner.
- Monitor customer accounts and provide regular updates on order status.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and support.
Requirements:
- Optometry degree or dispensing diploma required.
- Experience in a call center environment an advantage.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills essential.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce a plus.
Training and Development:
- Basic training provided during the first two weeks.
- Ongoing on-the-job training and development opportunities available.
- Bi-weekly evaluations and training procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Optometry degree or dispensing diploma.
Estimated Salary: R450,000 - R600,000 per annum, depending on experience.
