We are a leading organization in the industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Strategic Business Development Manager.

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic partnerships, identifying new markets, and developing sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, long-term insurance, and advice and intermediary roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement integrated sales and marketing plans to drive business growth.
  • Recruit and manage brokers, ensuring they have the necessary documentation and support to succeed.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to brokers and their sub-agents to enhance their productivity.
  • Identify and develop new markets, negotiate stop orders, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Monitor and maintain production targets, ensuring set targets are achieved and business retention is maintained.
Requirements:
  • Matric qualification and a diploma/degree or long-term insurance qualification recognized by the FSCA.
  • Regulatory Examination Level 1: Representatives and Regulatory Examination Level 1: Key Individual (Advantage) certification.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience and 2 years of experience in the long-term insurance industry.
  • Experience in category A, B, C, and retail benefits, as well as management experience in the insurance industry.
