At Progressive International, we are seeking a seasoned Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in key account management.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to drive business growth and development through strategic relationships with major retailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing annual sales and expense budgets, pricing strategies, and product listings that meet or exceed company goals.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in retail key account management, preferably in the personal care and homecare products industry. A Sales/Marketing degree or related certificate is highly desirable, but not essential.

A strong leader with excellent communication skills, the successful candidate will build and strengthen relationships with key service providers and clients, while analyzing customer stock and sales reports to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual sales and expense budgets
  • Create pricing strategies and product listings that drive business growth
  • SOURCE new products and suppliers to expand our portfolio
  • Manage inventory levels and optimize stock coverage
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Analyze customer data to inform business decisions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including buying, planning, and technology teams
  • Communicate business updates and initiatives to senior leadership
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10 years of experience in retail key account management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and inform business decisions
  • Experience working with major retailers in the personal care and homecare products industry
  • A Sales/Marketing degree or related certificate is highly desirable
