Business Development Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Strategist to join Cochrane Global, a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and supply of unique physical perimeter security barriers. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in business development and sales strategy.
About the RoleThis key role involves identifying market opportunities, developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve new business sales targets and results. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and implementing new business in line with KPIs set, as well as servicing and monitoring service-provision to new accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an ongoing pipeline/list of prospective clients in line with new business strategy.
- Maintain own existing client base and manage relationships with customers until handover to Sales and Customer Relations personnel.
- Continuously look for extension opportunities of clients' businesses to expand services to available customers.
- Communicate with inbound and outbound operations and management regarding customer enquiries.
- Manage territory efficiently and economically by covering it on a planned schedule basis.
- E nsure client records are kept up to date in master files and on CRM System, with accurate information as per ISO 9001.
- Collect and analyze customer, market, and competitor information.
- Coordinate marketing activity with others and improve lead generation.
- Prepare proposals, profiles, presentations, new business estimates, and business development reports.
- Continuously develop industry and product knowledge to provide solutions to meet customer needs.
- Effectively use organisational resources to achieve desired results.
- Continuous market research to ensure pipeline-driven sales.
- Matric - Degree or diploma advantageous.
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in Business Development within a Corporate environment.
- Proven track record in dealing with customers, building pipeline, and new business development.
- B2B business development exposure.
- Advanced computer literacy i.e. Ms Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to always maintain professionalism and corporate standards.
- Must have a sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proven track record in dealing with customers.
- Knowledge and understanding of the sales process.
$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
