Our client, a well-established retail nursery, is seeking a seasoned Sales Director to lead their sales team.

The purpose of this role is to develop new markets and manage all aspects of sales from receiving orders through to transporting product to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders for timely delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update the photo catalogue and website to showcase products effectively.
  • Manage the activities of agents and representatives, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Liaise with customers and network with other industry players to build strong relationships.
  • Liaise with the propagation and production departments to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Manage existing client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead a team of nationally based Sales Representatives, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Attend industry roadshows and events to stay up-to-date on market trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales Management experience.
  • Agriculture experience is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with clients.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pastel experience is advantageous.
  • Computer literate.
  • Driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.
