About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Specialist to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited. As a Cloud Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our customers on cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on cloud-based solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud computing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends
  • Develop and deliver training and documentation to customers and internal teams
Requirements
  • Good depth of understanding in Hadoop Administration, support and troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of Linux and Networking concepts
  • Intermediate programming/scripting skills in Java or Python
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with multi-tasking ability
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Proficient in Hadoop Map-Reduce and its Eco System
  • Python and shell scripting
  • Good understanding of distributed computing environments
  • Customer service experience / strong customer focus
