Join Our Team as a Cloud Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers, helping them to get the most out of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and web/live chat
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues
  • Develop and present training to new hires and customers
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new tools and scripts
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of Hadoop Administration, support, and troubleshooting
  • Intermediate programming/scripting skills in Java or Python
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Proficient in Hadoop Map-Reduce and its ecosystem
  • Experience with Linux system monitoring and analysis
  • Good understanding of distributed computing environments
