Key Account Manager

Elchemie, one of the world's most trusted manufacturers of high-precision instruments for chemical analysis, is seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented Key Account Manager to join their team at their Somerset-West branch in Western Cape.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Manager and be responsible for marketing and selling analytical instruments in the Western/Northern Cape and parts of Eastern Cape up to Gqeberha.
Tertiary qualification in Chemistry and at least two years of external sales experience in analytical instruments are required for this position.
Job Description:- To actively call on existing customers and develop new markets to generate revenue from sales of the complete range of laboratory instruments and process analysers.
- Travel throughout the territory with occasional trips to Head office/HQ for training in Gauteng, Johannesburg.
- Actively track/process sales leads gathered from trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone inquiries, and prospective local companies.
- Perform product demonstrations.
- Attend trade-shows and exhibitions to promote our products.
- Maintain customer data on the MS Dynamics CE system.
- A Bachelor's Degree/National Diploma in Chemistry
- Two years related sales experience in analytical instruments. (non-negotiable)
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Dynamics 365.
- A valid driver's license and own car.
- Good communication skills and an outgoing personality
- Good organizational/time management skills to balance customer visits, sales administration on MS Dynamics, and ad-hoc internal team tasks.
An estimated salary for this position is R250,000-R400,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
