National Key Account Director

At HR Genie, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Key Account Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong account management skills, negotiation abilities, and relationship building expertise.
About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity to work with key national accounts at a corporate level, driving sales growth and maximising revenue. As a National Key Account Manager, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term professional relationships with high-volume clients, developing and implementing strategic customer initiatives, and ensuring promotional compliance to maximise return on investment.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in a challenging and fast-paced trading environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic customer initiatives to achieve customer Sales & Profit targets.
- Evaluate and negotiate promotional grids to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Build strong retailer relationships to ensure effective implementation of promotional and customer business plans.
- Manage trade spend and claims effectively, ensuring timely processing and resolution.
- Coordinate and respond to external and internal key account-related queries.
- Play a key role in new business pitches and client onboarding.
- Maintain open communication with third parties to support agreed promotional activities.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in commerce or a related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG or customer management, preferably in a similar role managing key national accounts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Solid commercial knowledge, including channel, pricing, and strategy development.
