Strategic Retail Key Account Manager

Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for retail key account management? We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team at Progressive International as a Strategic Retail Key Account Manager.
About the RoleWe offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a Strategic Retail Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts across various retailers, including PNP, Checkers, Spar, Makro, Shoprite, Woolworths, and more.
Your primary objective will be to drive sales growth, optimize product listings, and develop strategic relationships with our customers. You will work closely with our production team to ensure stock levels are maintained and launch dates are met. Additionally, you will analyze customer stock and sales reports to inform your decisions and action plans.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute annual sales and expense budgets
- Pricing strategy and product listing optimization
- Product sourcing and strategy development
- Calculating order quantities to ensure optimal stock coverage
- Liaising with production teams to meet stock and launch requirements
- Analyzing customer stock and sales reports to inform business decisions
- Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, including buying, planning, and technology teams
- Maintaining equipment budget and overseeing new equipment design and implementation
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in retail key account management
- A degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
