As a Government Sales and Business Development Representative at Cochrane Global, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the government sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to leverage their expertise and passion for government sales to contribute to our company's success.
About the Role
This is a dynamic position that requires a strong understanding of government structures, sales processes, and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for generating leads, meeting or exceeding sales targets, negotiating contracts with clients, and providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to build rapport with government customers and suppliers will be essential in driving business growth and increasing revenue.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate new business opportunities within local, provincial, and national government agencies
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new government customers
* Negotiate contracts and tenders with clients
* Prepare and submit sales reports and presentations
* Collaborate with marketing programs to coordinate sales efforts
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Sales or Business Administration or higher, with 2-4 years of experience in government sales. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as superb interpersonal skills. Experience using computers for various tasks, including presentation software and CRM systems, is also essential. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
