Job Overview

Cochrane Global is seeking an experienced Government Sales and Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities within the government sector.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in government sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the public sector landscape.

Main Responsibilities

  • Generating leads and identifying new business opportunities within the government sector
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with government customers and stakeholders
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with government clients
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports on sales performance and pipeline activity
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on sales progress and pipeline health
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in government sales and business development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with government customers and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of success in generating new business opportunities and closing deals
  • Strong knowledge of the public sector landscape and government procurement processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Salary Estimate

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
