About Us

Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd is a leading international wholesale fibre, cloud and communications company expanding commercial operations in South Africa. We're seeking an experienced account executive to bring in new logos and manage accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue from existing and new sales opportunities.
  • Focus on driving net new revenue and maintain a strong expertise in identifying and working with clients to understand and position them as partners to jointly solve problems.
  • Facilitate ideation and whiteboarding sessions with clients to optimize share shift opportunities and maintain an agile market and competitor awareness.
  • Research clients' businesses, financials, and markets to identify and capitalize on net new revenue opportunities.
  • Engage in dialogue with clients sharing newsworthy insights and articulate customer value drivers in light of our value proposition.
  • Interact across all levels in the client organization and understand their workflow and value chain to build successful internal relationships to aid client delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and business needs to proactively work with clients and understand the competitive landscape and offerings to differentiate the value of solutions.
  • Consistently share newsworthy insights about the market, educating clients on new issues and outcomes.
  • Work closely with product, analytics, sales, and other departments to influence product strategy and roadmap to best support client account initiatives.
  • Manage all customer records in Salesforce CRM database and develop and manage a 30-day forecast and 60-90-120-day pipeline within CRM.
  • Provide weekly and monthly forecasts to management and perform other duties as assigned with integrity and honesty.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma with proven solution selling experience within the telecommunication sector.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a consultative selling context and business development.
  • Relevant industry experience in b2b wholesale.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing key account plans.
  • Eagerness to learn complex solutions to enable successful development of sales opportunities.
  • Well-organized with excellent negotiating skills, combined with superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to team culture.
  • Fluid to international travel.
