**Job Purpose**

The People Support Practitioner is responsible for providing support in the various HR functions, including: Recruitment, IR Advice, policy adherence and alignment, staff welfare, employee engagement, performance management, change management, and HR administration.

**Recruitment & Selection**:

- Manage and facilitate the entire recruitment and selection process i.e. advertising of vacancies, screening of CV’s, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks and coordinate any assessments.
- Preparation of job descriptions in consultation with line management

**On-boarding of new employees**
- Coordinate and facilitate on-boarding of new employees
- Manage Onboarding Questionnaires & interviews and compile onboarding feedback reports
- Implement, coordinate, monitor and support probation review process

**Policies & Procedures**:

- Implement & monitor relevant policies and procedures and ensure consistent practices
- Advise and educate managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Assist the PSM in the delivery of PS policy and procedure training interventions

**Exit/Termination Process and Procedures**
- Send Exit Interview questionnaire to exiting employees and conduct exit interview after questionnaire has been completed
- Facilitate all termination paperwork for exiting employee’s
- Prepare exit interview report to exiting employee's management team and PS Management Team
- Record all exit interview data on tracker to ensure accurate reporting and trend analysis

**Employee Relations (IR)**
- Implement, maintain and monitor the Disciplinary Policy and Procedure
- Support the business in Disciplinary matters, ensure IR policies are consistently adhered to within the business and advise management on good IR practice
- Coordinates and attends all disciplinary hearings (scheduling of chairperson, review initiators packs etc.)
- Capture, file and scan all disciplinary documentation to the relevant employee’s file (i.e. capturing of warnings)
- Assist in the gathering of evidence and case information for CCMA matters
- Provide guidance and advice for managing grievances

**Employee Wellness**
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of the Employee Wellness strategy
- Assist the PS Manager in the coordination and implementation of employee wellness programmes, events and days that aims to enhance and promote employee and organisational wellness in line with the wellness strategy

**Performance Management**:

- Implement and monitor Performance Management policy and processes within business
- Communicate to, and educate stakeholders regarding process, system and tools
- Capture, update and amend KPI’s on Sage as and when requested by Managers
- Support Line Managers in managing the poor performance processes in accordance with the Performance Improvement policy and procedure

**Organisational Development**
- Supports the PS Manager and Operations in identifying needs for Change Management interventions
- Support the PS Manager with the coordination of organizational culture and values interventions
- Assist and support the PS Manager in the implementation of change management interventions and any other OD interventions

**Reward and Recognition**
- Support the PS Manager in the coordination of the monthly Reward and Recognition programme

**Reporting**
- Weekly & monthly reporting on all Recruitment activities
- Support the PS Manager in compiling data for the HR monthly report

**Corporate Social Investment**
- Assist with CSI initiatives and planning of CSI initiatives

**PS Administration and Support**
- Administration of appointment process, including offer letters and employment contracts
- Responsible for the administration of all employee information and records (salary changes, departmental transfers, etc.)
- Ensure all employee files are up to date with all documentation electronic employee files
- Update and maintain all employee records on sage people 300

**Qualification**
- Grade 12
- Degree in Social Sciences/ Human Resource Management/ Industrial Psychology

**Experience**
- 5 years’ experience within HR with 3 years' experience in a similar capacity within an HR function
- Experience in bulk recruitment for a Contact Centre will be advantageous
- Experience in Industrial Relations within a Contact Centre will be advantageous
- Technical Experience:

- Microsoft Office ( Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Sage & People 300 advantageous
- Direct Hire

**Functional Knowledge and Skills**
- Knowledge and experience of HR best practice
- Extensive Knowledge of Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA, SDA, OHSA)
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Building relationships and networking skills
