**DEALER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER**

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:The role of the Network Development Manager is responsible for dealer network development strategies, and national polices & procedures. This individual will have direct responsibility for dealer network operations including dealer appointments, terminations, replacements, upgrades, improvement process and programs to support dealer profitability. While leading the individual tactical initiatives, this position will drive change management and promote the vision of network elevation amongst the regional teams.***

**FUNCTIONAL AREA**: Business Development

**EXTERNAL INTERACTION (information, support, advice, persuasion/ negotiation)**:
Potential Customers, accessory suppliers: exchange of information, advice, persuasion, and negotiation

**1.**Business Planning**
- Develop regional strategy together with General Manager
- Implement network strategy
- Manage Dealer performance by analysing performance data & developing improvement strategies
- Develop and manage Dealer of the Year program and give regular updates and tracking to the dealer network
- Responsible for maintaining and communicating marketing information and Amid stats
- Supervise all support programs for Dealer activities
- Annual budget preparation and monitoring
- Assist in preparing Prospecting plan
- Prepare quarterly travel plan
- Submit Monthly travel plan

**2.**
**Dealer Standards**
- Ensure Dealer Standards are upheld including signage, corporate clothing, standard of the dealership and other related dealer standards
- Ensure all advertising and social media in done in accordance with Yamaha and TFLs strategy and rules

**3.**
**Stock Management**
- Ensure minimum stacking requirements are upheld
- Ensure Stock representation

**4.**
**Legislation**
- All dealer contracts are up to date and complete

**5.**
**Customer Relations**
- Respond to Dealer, Customer, and consumer needs
- Ensure the resolution of issue

**6.**
**Training**
- Develop dealer training schedule and minimum requirements
- Dealer Authorised / qualified to Sell program
- Sales Funnel Training
- Minimum Acceptable Standards are developed and in place
- Train Region staff in use of Dealer Performance Measurement tools, Network Development policies & procedures, legal awareness, & business management
- Create and manage new dealer orientation classes for formal introduction to staff, policies and practices

**7.**
**Team Commitment**
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive overview of company business processes across other Business Units
- Initiate and participate in company-wide continuous improvement activities
- Demonstrate role model behaviour promoting company values
- Provide cross-functional and own business unit mentorship
- Identify potential BBBEE opportunities
- Drive all BBBEE initiatives and activities

**8.**
**Communication and reporting**
- Prepare required reporting within company parameters
- Ensure monthly market and performance reports to supplier
- Provide monthly report to company
- Provide information to dealers on activities, trends, pricing, etc.
- Communicate market trends to the division
- Compile and distribute bulletins
