The successful incumbent will maintain a strong employer-employee relationship, promoting organizational values, and ensuring that the company's goals align with the needs and well-being of our workforce. The successful incumbent will design and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, facilitate effective communication channels, and foster a positive company culture.

The Employee Communication & Engagement Manager will also collaborate with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, including management, employees, our social partners, and union representatives, to create an environment that supports productivity, employee satisfaction, and overall business success.

**Employee Engagement Strategy**
Develop, implement, and continually improve employee engagement strategies tailored to the unique needs of both bargaining unit and non-bargaining unit employees, and aligned with the company's overall strategy.

**Internal Communication**
Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan, aligned to company values and goals, to ensure consistent and transparent flow of information throughout the organisation, ensuring that employees are informed and engaged.

**External Communication**
Craft and execute external communication plans to build and maintain the company's brand image and reputation.

**Content Creation**
Create compelling and engaging content for various channels, including website articles, blogs, and social media posts. Ensure all content aligns with the company's brand voice, values, and communication objectives.

**Intranet and Internet Management**
Oversee the intranet platform, ensuring it remains an effective tool for internal communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.

**Social Media Management**
Develop and execute social media strategies to increase the company's online presence and engagement with both employees and external stakeholders.

**Crisis Communication**
Develop crisis communication plans to handle potential issues and manage the company's reputation during challenging times.

**Change Management**
Analyze data to drive informed decision-making and process improvement.

**Strategic Project Management**
Lead and oversee financial special projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment

**Financial Analysis and Modelling**
Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including budgeting, forecasting,risk assessment and Develop complex financial models to assess project feasibility, ROI, and impact on the company's financial position.

**Change Management**
Partner with management to effectively communicate organisational changes, ensuring employees understand the reasons and impact of these changes.

**Team Management**
Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to deliver training programs that promote employee growth and skill enhancement to team members.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in media and communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in employee engagement and communication, preferably in the supply chain and logistics industry.
- Experience in managing intranet platforms, websites, and social media channels.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies.
- Crisis communication experience and ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Knowledge of South African labour laws and regulations is advantageous
