Head of Leisure Sales Luxury Hospitality Group Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and driven **Head of Leisure Sales** to join a prestigious luxury hotel and lodge portfolio, headquartered in Cape Town. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to take the lead in driving local and international sales, with a strong focus on the leisure market. The role involves strategic planning, relationship building, and mentoring a dedicated leisure sales team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Sales Strategy & Planning**: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that encompasses all properties within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- ** Client Relationship Management**: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, while actively identifying and engaging new business opportunities.
- ** Reporting & Analysis**: Generate and present detailed reports to the Director of Sales, providing insights into sales performance and market trends.
- ** Team Leadership**: Guide and mentor the leisure sales team, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- ** Sales Administration**: Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all client interactions are documented and followed up on using the Chase System.
- ** Market Intelligence**: Conduct research to stay informed about competitor activities, market rates, and key industry trends, leveraging this knowledge to enhance sales strategies.
- ** Account Management**: Develop and maintain a robust sales call plan, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with key influencers and decision-makers.
- ** Business Development**: Collaborate with the Director of Sales to identify and target top accounts, both locally and internationally, to expand the leisure business.
- ** Event Coordination**: Assist in planning and hosting FAM trips, sales trips, and site inspections, ensuring these events are successful and impactful.
**Performance Standards**:
- Achieving or exceeding sales targets, room nights, and revenue goals.
- Successful development and growth of key client accounts.
- Maintaining high standards of sales administration and client record-keeping.
- Keeping sales expenses within budgeted guidelines.
- Professional representation of the company in all dealings, both internal and external.
**Skills & Knowledge Required**:
- ** Experience**: A minimum of 5 years in an international sales role within the luxury hospitality industry, with proven team management experience.
- ** International Trade Expertise**: Established contacts within key international markets are highly preferred.
- ** Technical Proficiency**: Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.
- ** Communication & Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication, public relations, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- ** Detail-Oriented & Organized**: A keen eye for detail and the ability to plan, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.
- ** Sales Acumen**: Strong sales, influencing, and contract negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving results.
