Role Overview :
We are seeking a Junior HR Officer who is eager to begin or further their career in Human Resources. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of HR practices, a strong work ethic, and a desire to develop their skills in a hands-on environment. You will assist the HR department in various tasks, providing support across multiple HR functions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Help manage employee records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing induction materials and conducting initial training sessions.
  • Assist with payroll processing and leave management.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company regulations.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters.

Qualifications :

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

 

Location : Somerset West, office based.
Salary : R15 000-R20 000 CTC per month depending on experience
