Job Description:

Our client is looking for a seasoned Head of Growth & Partnerships to join their executive management team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the development and execution of their commercial goals and growth initiatives. This role is pivotal to driving the business forward and achieving ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership and business development strategy to drive consistent revenue growth, market expansion, and product innovation.
  • Drive mid-market & enterprise sales with target customers across various business verticals.
  • Design and refine inbound and outbound sales practices to create scalable sales processes.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with corporate clients, channel partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Source and evaluate potential business development and growth opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement metrics to track commercial and revenue growth.
  • Provide regular reports to executive leadership highlighting key insights and strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve market leadership and sustainable growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Hire and lead the sales organization, including coaching team members and monitoring performance against targets.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience generating revenue and leading Key Accounts, Commercial Partnerships, or Growth in a high-growth fintech, consumer lending, or insur-tech start-up.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa.
  • Proven track record of driving B2B business growth and expansion with demonstrated sales and marketing experience with Mid-Market & Enterprise clients.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven with the ability to build business development strategy from scratch and scale to execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and diversification of revenue streams.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Prior experience in startups or high-growth environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
