We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join our 24-month Facility Manager Internship program. This comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become a successful Data Centre DCEO Facility Manager within an Amazon Data Center. As an intern, you will be responsible for data center engineering operations, including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting. As a Facility Manager in Training, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage the operations and maintenance of our facilities. You will work closely with experienced facility managers and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of facility management, including maintenance planning, equipment management, safety compliance, budgeting, and team leadership.

Key job responsibilities
1.Facility Operations Management:
oResponsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established practices and procedures.
oParticipate in strategic planning projects for the data center facilities.
oConduct financial analyses and contribute to financial decision-making processes.
oTypically manage 5 or more direct reports after the program.
oNegotiate and roll out contracts and space allocations.
oMay oversee the build-out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.
2.Project Management:
oConduct Project Management for one site.
oContribute to the development of project plans for the business group.
oEffectively set priorities to meet goals on budget and on time.
oDemonstrate strong people/program management skills.
3.Asset and Inventory Management:
oResponsible for asset and inventory management activities within the data center facilities.
4.Quality Assurance and Compliance:
oEstablish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.
oEnsure the application of best practices in the area of expertise.
oMaintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
5.Coordination and Collaboration:
oWork with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
oOperate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems (e.g., switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems).
oMay assist in the design and build-out of new facilities or projects to increase current facility efficiency.
6.Team Development and Recruitment:
oParticipate in recruiting efforts and continually raise the bar.
oActive in the training and development of other team members.
oMay participate in training staff.
oInsist on the highest standards from self and others, driving accountability for results.
oKeep others informed of information that contributes to the performance of the team, department, or company.
oEngender trust and respect in all working relationships.
7.Professional Development:

8.Customer Service:
oDeliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•An engineering degree or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
•Relevant engineering experience managing operations or services
•High degree of organization and detail-orientation & excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Proven track record of success in delivering projects.
•Ability to consistently deliver results despite competing priorities and distractions &
•At least 2 years of experience building strong, successful technical teams in a similar culture.
•Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product.
