Integration Resourcing is seeking a seasoned Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of its mixed-use property development in Cape Town.

Estimated Salary: R 450,000 - R 550,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

This is a pivotal opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the management, maintenance, and repair of the precinct's infrastructure, including roads, stormwater systems, public amenities, vehicles, machinery, and buildings. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to achieve optimal results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the repair, upkeep, and maintenance of all owned infrastructure in the precinct, including roads, bridges, stormwater drainage systems, water and sewage pipes, buildings, paving, and deck surfaces.
  • Public Amenities Management: Manage and coordinate the repair and maintenance of public amenities and furniture, including street furniture, bins, bollards, benches, signage, and playground equipment.
  • Risk and Budget Management: Identify potential risks in infrastructure and maintenance activities, implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and compliance, and prepare, manage, and track maintenance budgets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal teams, city officials, and external contractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in infrastructure maintenance or facilities management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Skillset: Strong understanding of roads, stormwater systems, mechanical maintenance, and public amenities; knowledge of health and safety regulations; business acumen; project management skills; technical expertise; problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and leadership skills.
