Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic customer initiatives to drive sales and revenue growth for high-volume clients.
  • Ensure promotional compliance and maximize return on investment by negotiating promotional grids and managing trade spend within budget parameters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers to implement effective promotional and customer business plans.
  • Provide timely planning and forecasting, including new product development, to ensure seamless execution of business plans.
  • Manage trade, spend, and claims effectively, in collaboration with Trade Marketing and Finance, to ensure compliance with agreed parameters.
  • Coordinate and respond to key account-related queries, both internal and external, to provide timely and effective support.
  • Play a key role in new business pitches and ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party partners, such as merchandising teams, to ensure support of promotional activities.
  • Identify and optimize the route-to-market strategy to drive business growth.
  • Monitor market developments and identify potential new customers and opportunities to drive business expansion.
  • Act as the primary interface between clients and relevant divisions to ensure seamless communication and delivery.
  • Conduct regular customer reviews at all levels to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in customer management, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Methodical approach with attention to detail, ensuring minimal errors and maximum efficiency.

  • Flexibility to travel nationally as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or related field, with a postgraduate qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG or customer management, with a proven track record in managing key national accounts.
  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of customer management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with intermediate to advanced level skills.
  • Sound commercial knowledge and understanding of channel, pricing, and strategy development.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
