Job Summary

West Coast Personnel seeks an experienced Creditors Clerk to support their finance team in Bloubergstrand. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in handling high volumes of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and reconciling various bank accounts daily to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Managing supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Weekly supplier invoice processing and reconciliation.
  • Reconciling control accounts, with a focus on timely age analysis reporting.
  • Finalizing monthly reconciliations within the first week of each month.
  • Resolving discrepancies or reconciling items within 2-3 days.
  • Reconciling creditor statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensuring timely payments, with a focus on making creditor payments within the second to third week of the month.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar Creditors Clerk role.
  • A tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, or a Matric certificate with relevant experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, such as Pastel, Xero, or Sage.

The candidate should possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and coordination skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with team members and suppliers. The ability to work collaboratively within a team is also required.
