Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Director to join our team at RB Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and administration of our group of companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full financial function across multiple entities within the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and reports to senior management, ensure timely consolidation of financial data across all entities.
  • Manage the full creditors' function, oversee payment schedules, monitor relationships with key suppliers, perform reconciliations of creditors' accounts.
Financial Planning and Reporting
  • Develop and implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Analyse financial data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
Compliance and Audit
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international financial regulations, including tax laws and corporate governance standards in South Africa.
  • Submission of tax returns (VAT, income tax, dividends tax, PAYE) to the revenue authorities, submission of annual returns to the CIPC.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with statutory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, registration with a professional body such as SAICA or CIMA.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial management, with significant exposure to the retail sector and multi-entity structures.
  • Extensive experience in operational and supply chain finance management.
