Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Property Development Manager to lead our regional team in identifying and launching new business opportunities in the property market.

Estimated Salary

R 800,000 - R 1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide leadership to the regional team on viable opportunities in the property market.
  • Evaluate prospective sites at both macro and micro levels.
  • Present selected sites to the regional committee for approval.
  • Finalize lease agreements to secure selected sites for development.
  • Interview and evaluate prospective retailers, conduct cost analysis and set up operations.
  • Oversee the facilitation of sales for existing stores.
  • Develop a growth strategy for regional retail operations to drive business growth.
  • Provide leadership on new business development, store development, and current retail management best practices to ensure sustainable profitability and competitiveness in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and corporate identity related audits for new and existing stores launched.
  • Develop and grow the brand's retail network by establishing sustainable retail stores.
  • Implement best operating procedures for retail operations, national standardized processes for developing new and revamped stores.
Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) and a relevant business-related tertiary qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in property/business construction/development.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience specific to the building and hardware retail industry.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of local property and retail development markets.
  • Skilled in conducting commercial negotiations, facilitating agreements, managing conflict, and interpreting financial statements, particularly cash flow statements and financing options.
  • Ability to undertake and interpret financial feasibility studies, as well as thorough knowledge of leasing and contracts.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, emotional maturity, resilience, and high-level computer literacy.
  • Drivers' license essential.
