Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new menu concepts while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of skilled chefs, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with our procurement team to source fresh, seasonal ingredients and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene protocols, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Develop and manage kitchen budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
Requirements
  • Recognized culinary qualification and a proven track record in senior chef roles.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of flavor combinations, presentation techniques, and menu engineering.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
