About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and internal teams, leveraging your expertise in cloud technologies to resolve complex issues and improve our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers through various contact channels, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience, including creating tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve our services and provide feedback on how to enhance our offerings.
  • Continuously learn and develop new technical skills and competencies to stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies.
  • Act as an interviewer and coach/mentor for new team members.

Requirements
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant technical support experience.
  • Understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP, and UDP.
  • Unix/Linux or Windows system administration skills.
  • Knowledge of client/server and distributed systems architectures.
  • Knowledge of filesystem, block, object storage, and backup/DR strategies.
