We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in WC region.

This role reports directly to the Employee Relations & Compliance Executive.

The core function of this position is to manage and coordinate all employee relations management requirements, ensuring timely completion of tasks and reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising between senior management and employees on HR and ER related matters
  2. Providing guidance and advice to management employees on company rules, regulations, and procedures
  3. Facilitating disciplinary actions, drafting charges, and coordinating hearings
  4. Acting as the first point of contact for ER process and policy queries and issues
  5. Managing end-to-end case management services for ER processes, including discipline management, poor performance management, grievance management, and sick leave management
  6. Representing the employer at CCMA conciliations, arbitrations, and in-limine proceedings
  7. Preparing relevant pleadings, including objections, preliminary points, heads, and closing arguments
  8. Developing employee relations training material and conducting training sessions
  9. Writing monthly newsletters on HR and ER topics
  10. Facilitating grievances, investigations, suspensions, disciplinary enquiries, appeals, incapacities, and retrenchments
  11. Ensuring adherence to substantive and procedural fairness, as well as compliance with internal HR and ER standard operating procedures
  12. Compiling and reporting on employee relations activity
