The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing all transactions accurately and timeously, managing payments, refunds, and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Transaction Processing: Verify the accuracy of all transactions, including petty cash, general ledger, capital expenses, and supplier invoices.
- Payment Management: Process payments, refunds, and reconciliations efficiently and accurately.
- Accruals and Reconciliations: Raise and reverse accruals for all orders in the procurement system as necessary, and reconcile balance sheets in area of responsibility.
- Supplier Management: Ensure that all suppliers are loaded on the appropriate banking and financial systems.
- Foreign Currency Management: Prepare foreign payments, maintain a register for foreign currency, and adhere to all foreign currency protocols.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience within Finance, preferably in a similar role.
- Qualifications: Grade 12 with Accounting or Mathematics, and a 3-year tertiary qualification in Finance.
- Skills: Computer literacy, strong Excel skills, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
