Regional Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our team in the Western Cape province of the Agricultural industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the region's revenue and profitability targets through strong leadership and sales strategies.
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, induction, performance management, and growth and development to motivate and retain staff.
  • Provide quality mentorship for TSRs, upholding the company's values and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Direct the region's selling activities, including resource deployment and customer interactions, to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Responsible for the region's forecasting and sales tracking, ensuring accurate data and informed decision-making.
  • Set the vision for the region and develop and adhere to a business plan to attain this vision, driving growth and success.
  • Evaluate market trends, gather competitive information, and identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to make the best decisions in solving problems and providing direction, support, and assistance to the region.
  • Develop specific plans and goals to accomplish tasks efficiently, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness.
  • Encourage and build team spirit among staff, fostering mutual respect and cooperation to drive success.
  • Identify and exploit new opportunities to benefit the company, driving growth and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership abilities and sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledgeable about the agriculture industry or similar.
  • Excellent staff and relationship management skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving success.
  • Business development skills, with a focus on driving growth and innovation.
  • General fertilizer knowledge, plant and animal nutrition expertise, and a strong understanding of the agricultural industry.
