At RPO Recruitment, we are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Electrical Engineering Regional Director. This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams and driving business growth.

About the Role

This position requires an individual with strong management expertise, particularly in sales, engineering, and installation teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including team management, stock and inventory control, office administration, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.

The Electrical Engineering Regional Director will play a critical role in developing and executing the growth strategy for our Cape Town presence, working closely with project managers servicing corporate clients and key projects in the region. This involves driving revenue growth and improving profitability across each division in the region, while maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc/BTech or National Diploma) and have at least 10 years of experience in the electrical industry, specifically within heavy industry and/or mining. A solid grounding in engineering/electrical service industries would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales, engineering, and installation teams to achieve efficiency, profitability, and quality objectives.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of operations, including personnel management, contracts management, financial management, and safety & quality matters.
  • Develop and execute the growth strategy for the Cape Town presence, working closely with project managers and the company's management executive.
  • Manage costs and expenses, providing regular status reports to the Managing Director.
Requirements
  • BEng/BSc/BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the electrical industry, with involvement in heavy industry and/or mining.
  • Strong management experience, including personnel management, contracts management, and financial management.
  • A solid grounding in engineering/electrical service industries would be beneficial.

Estimated Salary: R840,000 - R720,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
