About the Role

A seasoned professional is sought by Empire Recruitment to fill the position of Head of Employee Engagement and Development. This exciting opportunity allows the selected candidate to utilize their expertise in Human Resources to drive employee growth and engagement within a well-established FMCG business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage employee services, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the organization.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to employees to support their career development and growth.
  • Represent the company at CCMA and disciplinary hearings, utilizing knowledge of local labour laws to advocate for the organization's interests.
  • Foster industrial relations through proactive communication and negotiation with union representatives.
Requirements
  • A minimum requirement is a Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
  • Degree in Human Resources or similar qualification and/or relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of local labour laws, including LRA, BCEA, EEA, and OHSA.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a HR Business Partner/Manager position.
Compensation

The salary for this role is estimated to be between R250,000 and R350,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
