Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement integrated growth strategies for existing and new sectors in the local market.
  2. Lead South Africa-focused marketing campaigns across multiple channels to increase brand visibility and generate interest.
  3. Conduct detailed reporting and analysis of campaign impact in South Africa to drive informed decision-making.
  4. Manage relationships with local PR agencies and expand the firm's presence in tier 1 media.
  5. Create South Africa-specific content and adapt global marketing materials for local relevance.
  6. Represent Oliver Wyman South Africa in global Marketing team forums and identify synergies between global and local campaigns.
  7. Cultivate strategic partnerships with organizations, associations, and influencers as relevant.
  8. Develop tailored account-based marketing (ABM) strategies in collaboration with local Partner leadership.
  9. Enhance employer brand through local activations and support Recruitment team efforts.
  10. Maintain a keen interest in industry trends, competitive intelligence, and regulatory changes.
  11. Identify and negotiate speaking opportunities for firm leaders at influential conferences and events in South Africa.
  12. Oversee local marketing operations and manage relationships with agencies and vendors.
Experience Required
  1. 8+ years proven track record and experience in a B2B marketing/communication function in professional services or agency.
  2. Expertise in crafting and editing engaging content across multiple formats.
  3. Client-centric/Account Based Marketing experience with a strategic eye on linking Marketing impact with Commercial Objectives.
  4. Strong media relationships in South Africa an advantage, or experience in managing a PR agency.
  5. Team management and working with an international peer group.
  6. Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.

  1. Strong competency in strategy and aligning key stakeholders.
  2. Ability to plan and execute marketing priorities.
  3. Strong command of business English, with honed writing and editing skills.
  4. Outstanding interpersonal skills for a regional and international work environment.
  5. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Agile work attitude, hard-working, and results-driven.
  7. Willingness to travel locally and internationally, on occasion.
