About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Logistics Coordinator to join our team at AMS in Wellington, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the parts and breakdowns of our vehicle fleet, ensuring timely mobilization and maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all breakdowns of the fleet, ensuring timely mobilization and effective communication with stakeholders;
  • Procure parts at optimal prices and maintain a well-organized parts store;
  • Purchase and control inventory of parts, ensure seamless administration of parts procurement and distribution;
  • Maintain security of the parts store and manage stock levels;
  • Conduct regular audits and handle defective parts claims;
  • Compile accident repair costs for in-house and external services;
  • Provide administrative support for breakdowns and update vehicle histories;
  • Issue parts to mechanics and assist with service scheduling;
  • Ensure adherence to safety and security standards in the storage area.

Requirements:

  • Experience in parts management and procurement;
  • Ability to handle breakdowns and ensure timely vehicle repairs;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Proficient in maintaining audit trails and managing stock levels;
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and repair processes;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Additional Information:

  • The position requires alternating weeks of outside breakdown assistance;
  • Attend RTMS meetings and maintain statistics on breakdowns;
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the workshop and depot operations.

Salary Range: R 400,000 - R 550,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
