Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Construction Oversight: Design and oversee the construction of water and sanitation infrastructure such as pipelines, reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment plants.">
  • Feasibility Studies and Site Inspections: Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and prepare design specifications for water and wastewater projects.">
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and sustainability goals.">
  • Project Documentation: Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, design briefs, and engineering calculations.">
  • Project Management Support: Provide project management support, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.">
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to assess project requirements and provide engineering solutions.">
  • Construction Supervision: Supervise construction activities and coordinate with contractors and site teams to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.">
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare and present technical reports and progress updates to clients and project teams.">
  • Operations and Maintenance: Ensure proper operation and maintenance strategies for water and sanitation systems are in place.">

Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.">
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in water and sanitation projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.">
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of water supply systems, wastewater treatment, and related infrastructure.">
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydraulic modeling software.">
  • Communication Skills: Ability to write detailed technical reports and communicate complex information clearly.">
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead project teams.">
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of environmental and public health regulations related to water and sanitation infrastructure.">
  • Professional Registration: Professional registration (Pr Eng) with ECSA or working towards registration is highly advantageous.">
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and stakeholder engagement.">
