Kerston Foods CC is a well-established Food Services company seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to fill a contract position on maternity cover.

This exciting opportunity will be based in [insert location] and is available from Late-January 2024 to Late-July 2024. As an HR professional, you will play a vital role in supporting the entire organization with all aspects of HR management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Selection: Provide recruitment/selection/placement services including job specifications, sourcing candidates, screening processes, and making final decisions.
  • Induction and Onboarding: Manage the induction and onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are fully supported during their probationary period.
  • Employment and Payroll Administration: Assist in preparing monthly payrolls, ensure all systems, data bases, and process compliance factors are met, and provide employment administrative support.
  • Staff and Industrial Relations: Develop and implement strategies for managing relationships, drive growth and development processes, ensure statutory compliance, and provide support.
  • Policies and Procedures: Maintain and coordinate HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with format and current procedures.
  • Performance Management: Facilitate performance management practices, coordinate performance management outcomes, and develop/refine performance management processes.
  • HR Analysis and Advice: Provide meaningful information, analysis, evaluations, and reports to inform HR decision-making.
  • Administration and Development Support: Offer administration and development support services, guiding representative teams, and facilitating development needs analysis and subsequent development support.
Requirements:
  • A 3-year formal Human Resources or related qualification.
  • Advanced computer literacy with emphasis on MS Office and particularly Excel skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA).
  • Working knowledge of labor legislation.
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in an established HR function covering all aspects of professional HR management.
  • A sound understanding of business principles and functions will be an advantage.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is R120,000 - R150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
