Care Home Operations Manager

At National Renal Care, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Care Home Administrator to provide administrative support to our care home team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our reception services, admissions, and resident management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the provision of effective and efficient reception services, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for prospective residents and their families.
- Respond promptly to all enquiries from prospective residents, providing assistance and answering any queries they may have.
- Coordinate admissions with the Home Manager or Deputy Home Manager, ensuring a seamless transition for new residents.
- Ensure that Resident contracts are presented to residents or their representatives prior to admission and completed on day one of admission.
- Collect initial payments and arrange Direct Debits for ongoing payments, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Maintain administration systems relating to residents, including accurate and up-to-date records.
- Liaise with various departments regarding payroll, procurement, finance, and HR, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Manage day-to-day payroll and queries, completing payroll returns within agreed deadlines.
- Produce contract amendments, contracts of employment, and HR letters in line with agreed HR processes.
- Cover reception duties in the absence of the receptionist, providing continuity of service.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a care home administrator is essential, demonstrating a strong understanding of care home operations.
- A warm and approachable persona, confident in liaising with staff and residents.
- Excellent time management skills, able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work alone as well as part of a team, achieving results through collaboration and communication.
